Job interviews are easier than you think. But the best person doesn’t always get the job. You see, the best interview gets the job. And the number one challenge most women face in job interviews is lack of confidence. Not with their skills. Not with their ability to do the job.

They lack confidence in their ability to answer questions and in their ability to perform well in the interview.

I hear it over and over again from women who come to Crystal Clear Interviews for help. And guess what? That’s complete nonsense and I am absolutely convinced that anybody can learn how to interview like a pro.

Here’s why. You know more about what you are selling in the job interview than anybody else. You are the expert on you. You have the answers. You have the experience. You have the knowledge, skill and ability to do the job. Your background, your past achievements and your past successes are the reason you got called for the interview. So, you are already half-way there.

There is a clear pattern for articulating your answers, speaking persuasively, selling your skills and knowledge and convincing an employer that you are the best candidate for the job. I know. Too many applicants try to be like someone else or memorize scripted answers for the job interview. Why? Lack of confidence in themselves. And it doesn’t work. The key to successful job interviews is to prepare yourself from the inside out to be articulate, confident and convincing in your interview.

So here’s the key. Start by building your confidence with strong preparation for the job interview. Work on building a positive self-image as well as developing your interviewing skills. This is the time to embrace your true strengths and release your fears, anxieties and doubts that hinder your success. You have all the tools to succeed and building a positive self-image will enable you to express yourself freely and perform at your best in the job interview.
